Our Story
F.A.J Limited was founded by Kristin Pickering, Retired Rural firefighter, who is the
Founder and CEO to multi-construction Companies. The company's unique origin story
began when Kristin and her husband Dan attended a business course on building
empires. During the course, she spoke with many small to medium-sized business
owners who were struggling with time management and scalability. They were bogged
down by administrative tasks that prevented them from focusing on growth. Kristin,
from her own direct experience, knew firsthand the value a skilled assistant could bring
to a business.
Kristin's go-to advice was always, "You need to find a Joyce." Joyce was Kristin's own
employee who had evolved from a bookkeeper to an office manager and was being
trained in project management. Joyce's own success was amplified by the fact that she
had her own virtual assistant, which allowed her to handle project management
responsibilities for Kristin's companies effectively. This support system enabled Kristin
to delegate non-essential tasks, freeing up her time to scale and grow her own
company.
The business owners' repeated question—"Where do I find a Joyce?"—sparked the idea
for F.A.J Limited. Kristin realized there was a significant need to connect business
owners with skilled virtual assistants (VAs). Her vision was to create a company that
would not only help business owners reclaim their time and scale their operations but
also improve the lives of VAs in the Philippines by providing them with meaningful work
opportunities.
