Terms and Conditions

“FAJ” refers to Find A Joyce, the Virtual Assistant Agency.

“Client” refers to the individual, business, or organization hiring a Virtual Assistant through FAJ.

“Virtual Assistant (VA)” refers to the independent contractor vetted and matched by FAJ to the Client.

FAJ connects Clients with qualified Filipino Virtual Assistants based on business needs. FAJ facilitates the hiring process, onboarding, and administrative arrangements where applicable.

All VAs sourced through FAJ are independent contractors, not employees of FAJ or the Client.

Clients agree not to bypass FAJ by engaging directly with a VA outside of FAJ without written consent.

Minimum engagement terms (if applicable) will be communicated before onboarding.

Rates and fees will be discussed and agreed upon before engagement.

Payments must be made according to the agreed billing cycle.

Late or failed payments may result in suspension or termination of services.

All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

Both Client and VA agree to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive business information.

FAJ will not disclose Client or VA data to third parties without consent, except where required by law.

All work created by the VA under the Client’s instruction belongs to the Client once full payment has been made.
The VA retains no rights to use, resell, or distribute such work.

Either party may terminate the engagement with a 2–4 week notice unless immediate termination is required for cause.

Offboarding includes task handover, document transfer, and release of final payments.

FAJ reserves the right to withdraw a VA or terminate services if terms are violated.

FAJ acts as a facilitator and is not responsible for business outcomes, losses, or damages caused by the Client or VA.

Clients are responsible for supervising tasks and ensuring VA deliverables meet their standards.

Clients agree not to poach, solicit, or directly employ VAs introduced by FAJ for a period of 12 months after termination of services without FAJ’s written approval.

FAJ reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of changes, and continued use of services implies acceptance of the updated terms.

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.
